Pet Boarding at Sterling Meadows is always a fun-filled, eventful vacation for your pet.
Our friendly kennel staff will help your pet feel right at home in the very best pet boarding facility in Virginia Beach. Our large indoor/outdoor kennels are the largest in the area, so your dog will never feel “cooped-up”. All friendly boarding dogs will get 4 to 6 hours of playtime each day in our play yard. This includes the water park during the warm months. If your dog is not friendly, we will do individual play or walks to get your dog's energy out. Playtime is included in our boarding rates!
All friendly cats in our cattery are free-roaming. If your cat does not like other cats, your cat will stay in a 3 story condo. Our cattery is equipped with cat trees for leisure and windows to let in natural light for sun bathing.
In addition to dogs and cats, we also board many small animals like bunnies, birds, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, tortoises, etc. Please give us a call to confirm we can provide adequate care for any small caged animals that is not listed. We ask that owners provide cages (not pens), food, light fixtures, hay, and anything else your pet may need during their stay with us.

Spacious indoor/outdoor kennels, an enormous outdoor play yard, including access to our doggy waterpark, and a friendly staff are what make Sterling Meadows the BEST dog-boarding facility. Our kennel runs feature complete climate control, ensuring that your dog is always comfortable. Your cat will also love staying in our cattery, where they will free roam or have their own spacious “condo” in a quiet, well-ventilated area. Remember that we also provide boarding for many small animals. Small animals are kept in a quiet area where they are cared for and attended to.

A state of the art in-ground swimming pool and splash pad, surrounded by plush, pet safe artificial turf, all customized for dogs. Featuring water mushrooms and spinning fire hydrants. Don’t let your dog miss out on all the fun!
Boarding Requirements
Your dog must have up-to-date Rabies, Bordetella and Distemper shots. Your cat must have up-to-date Rabies and Feline Leukemia or Feline Distemper shots. First time boarders are asked to bring proof of vaccinations upon check-in. If your pet has been seen by the vet any time recently, please let us know while making the appointment. We cannot accept ill or contagious animals.
Pets over the age of 10 are required for a pre-boarding reservation. Please contact us.
Should your pet require any medical attention, we will contact you immediately. If you are not able to be reached and it is an emergency, we will take your pet to an available vet at your expense.

We Will Provide These Things for Your Pet While Boarding
We will provide all blankets, bedding, toys and bowls for you pet while boarding with us. We ask that you do not bring any of these belongings as we do not want to lose or damage them. In addition, we can provide our food for no additional charge, or you may bring your own. The food we provide is Diamond Maintenance. It is chicken based and not grain free.
Drop Off and Pick Up Times
You may drop off your pet for boarding any time Monday through Saturday between 7am and 5:30pm. Sunday drop off is between 12pm and 5:30pm.
Pick up is by 2pm from boarding in order to avoid being charged for that day, unless you get a bathing or grooming service. If you schedule a bathing or grooming service upon pick up, you will have until 5:30pm to pick up and will be charged for that service and not that day of boarding.
